About The Studio Sage

I’m Melissa, the person behind The Studio Sage.

I created The Studio Sage for small business owners who need calm, capable support behind the scenes. The kind of support that helps make sense of the moving parts, bring order to messy systems, and create more structure around the day-to-day running of a business.

My background is built on more than 16 years of hands-on experience across operations, finance, payroll, HR administration, compliance, insurance, systems, reporting and project coordination. I have worked across logistics, agriculture, retail, wellness, hospitality and childcare, often in roles where I was the person keeping the back end of the business steady and moving.

I understand how quickly small businesses can outgrow the way they have always done things. Admin gets messy. Reporting becomes unclear. Systems stop working properly. Processes rely too much on memory. The owner becomes the person holding everything together.

That is the work I help with.

My approach is calm, practical and structured. I do not believe in adding more complexity for the sake of it. I focus on what is useful, sustainable and appropriate for the stage your business is in.
